Ever watch a commercial on television for a prescription drug? The list of potential side effects takes up a major portion of the audio.
Same thing with magazine advertising — side effects and warnings typically are listed on the back of the advertisement.
That’s intentional so you can’t see them when you’re looking at the face of a person who is supposedly experiencing blissful relief Adverse reactions sometimes occur when you start a new drug or increase the dosage of a drug you are currently taking.
Common side effects include skin rashes, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, itchiness, fatigue, loss of weight/ appetite, weight gain, and dizziness.
Some may be serious enough to warrant immediate medical attention and can even be life threatening.
An inability to deal with unpleasant side effects is the reason why many people stop taking their medication.
People sometimes ask if chiropractic care has any side effects.
It does. Frequently they include improved range of motion in joints that had been “locked; pain relief, and increased muscle strength.
